With the students choosing a unique way to honour and thank their teachers, the event became memorable for both the teaching and student community. The celebration began in a very exciting manner with the students escorting the Principal and the teaching staff with showers of wishes and applause.
Cultural performances and games ruled the day and that kept the student on their toes.
Various events like songs, dances and mimicry were performed by the students and teachers.
This was followed by the serving of delicious snacks. The highlight of the day was when as a sign of going green, tulsi plants were gifted to all the lectures. A spellbinding dance performance by Anagha and her group to the beats of Genda Phool and Le Le Majaa captured the audience’s attention. Gopal and his team crooned a group song dedicated to the teachers.
A mimicry on the teachers by Sudhakar left the audience in a pool of laughter. “On this Teacher’s Day, we wanted to spread the message of ‘nature friendly’ celebrations. When the idea of gifting plants to the teachers was mooted, we thought why shouldn’t it be a tulsi plant as its purity resembles the pure hearts of teachers. And we have tried our best to keep our teachers, who toil for us round the year, happy throughout the day,” said Neo, a student council member.
