Ramnitu already has eight Kannada films in her kitty and is looking forward to the release of Hori. She has also signed another project titled Muttina Hani.

With a going as good as this, she can be sure of being the next big thing in Sandalwood. In an interview to Metrolife, Ramnitu talks about her career and future plans.

Though her last film Preetiyinda Ramesh failed at box office, the actress has high expectations from her upcoming release Hori in which, she plays an innocent village girl.

“The last few years have been great and I am happy with the kind of roles and films I have come across. It’s just a great feeling and I am excited about the release of Hori.

The entire team has put in a lot of hard work in this project. The film has come out beautifully thanks to its extraordinary storyline and melodious songs. So it is natural for me to hope for the best,” claims Ramnitu, who is planning a complete image makeover from being the girl next door to a glam doll. Even after completing eight films in the industry, the actress still cherishes the experience of her first Kannada flick Pallakki, in which she had acted with Prem.

“The things I have learnt while shooting for Pallakki have helped me shape my career in Sandalwood. As I was a stranger to the language, I would write down my dialogues along with their meanings to get the pronunciation right. Now, I don’t find any difficulty in delivering the dialogues. Here in the Kannada film industry, people respect each other and are totally down to earth. Hence, I am highly comfortable with the work environment,” says Ramnitu.

It was her mother’s dream to see Ramnitu as an acclaimed actress. “Though it was my mother’s aspiration, it soon became mine. As an actress, I get a chance to live the lives of other people, experience their joy and pain.

While doing Payana, I explored many places and different kinds of culture. There are so many things to learn in this profession apart from name and fame.” One of her biggest dreams is to act opposite Shivarajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar. “They are great entertainers. I heard that despite being superstars, the brothers are simple and down to earth. I am looking forward to a chance of working with any of the two, at least,” she says.

When it comes to characters, Ramnitu is not always running behind lead roles. “As long as there is a good script and a scope to perform, I see no reason to not take up supporting roles.”
