Sources said during the hour-long meeting on Tuesday here, some of the Syndicate members sought cancellation of the appointments and demanded action against Dr Prasad. They also demanded re-recruitments for the posts.

The sources said the University has already submitted a detailed report regarding the alleged irregularities in the recruitment after it received three letters from the Government. However, some of the contentious issues are pending before the Government for further action.
