"A trial for the four Al Qaeda members will start next Monday by the Sanaa-based court specialised in terrorism cases," Xinhua reported citing a ministry statement.

The statement said the state criminal prosecution has found evidences showing that the four accused were involved in planning terrorist attacks in the country.

A suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt threw himself at the convoy of British ambassador Tim Torlot April 26. The attack left the bomber dead and three passers-by injured while the diplomat and his escort survived.

Yemen's security service identified the bomber as 22-year-old Osman Ali Noman Asaloi from the southern province of Taiz.

One of the four suspects involved in the attack is the son of a German businessman while another is an Iraqi, according to the ministry.
