Maithreyi makes it to final

Maithreyi dropped the first two games of her last-four clash with Aishwarya R Bidri of SBMJC before pulling up her socks to eventually come through 9-11, 8-11, 11-7, 11-5, 11-8, 5-11, 11-7 in a contest that went right down to the wire.

In the final, Maithreyi will take on Madhuri R of SAI, who had it far easier against Arpitha BS, pulling off an 11-7, 11-3, 11-7, 11-7 victory.Men’s top seed Karthik CP survived a minor scare before brushing aside Yeshwant G 11-8, 13-11, 11-13, 11-6, 11-3 to move into the semifinals, where he was joined by Sagairaj, Anirban T and Navneet AR.
