Number of stalls displayed products of various industries including cottage industries at Muddenahalli on Wednesday.
Special attraction at the exhibition was the postal department which released a special post cover in the honour of M Visvesvaraya. The collectors of stamps and post covers, students among others thronged the stall to buy the special post cover and stamps with Visvesvaraya’s portrait albums and miniature sheets to preserve their valuable and rare collections.
Along with SBM Bank founded by Visvesvaraya himself, Pragati Grameena Bank and Canara Bank gave information about their various schemes.
There was information about new avenues in the textile industries as well as Chikkaballapur district is set to house a textile park. As Vidya Srinivas of of Melore-based Das Group said: “There is a need for skilled employees as we soon will have a textile park. Hence, the institute has begun training the youth.”
The products prepared by the trainees which were on display spoke about their dexterity and effective training by the institute.
