Sharath (22) alias Yane Gadi alias Lokesha of Hanumanth Nagar and Vinay alias Kariya (22) of Uttarahalli are the arrested.

They were about to board a bus to Mysore when the police nabbed them.
On Wednesday evening, Manoj Kumar, a 10th standard boy was attacked and killed by two teenagers near Udaya Bhanu Kala Sangha playground in Kempe Gowda Nagar. The discarded vehicle at the crime scene helped the police to trace the culprits.

Preliminary investigations have revealed a love angle to the crime story. According to one version, Manoj was after a girl from the same school. One of the accused was close to the girl and they wanted to teach Manoj a lesson.

They waylaid Manoj and threatened him to stay away from the girl but when Manoj ignored their warning, they attacked and killed him.

Another story doing the rounds is that Manoj was close to the girl while other boys too were interested in her. They tipped the two accused to threaten Manoj and ask him to stay away from her. On Wednesday, Manoj was seen talking to the girl and walking towards home.

The two bumped into him, picked up a fight and rained blows until he collapsed and died.
According to the police said Yane Gadi and Kariya are wanted by the city police several cases of dacoity and robbery are registered against the arrested at KR Puram, Shankarpuram and Magadi Road.

Gang kills ex-member

A man was hacked to death by a gang inside a hotel in Okalipuram on Thursday afternoon.

According to the police, around 1 pm, notorious rowdy Manivannan and his gang spotted Seshi Kumar (40) in Hari Nivas Hotel. After a verbal dual, the gang hacked Seshi to death.
Sources said Seshi was in Manivannan’s gang and due to some differences over money matters, he had parted ways. The matter turned worse when both were in jail and Seshi ignored Manivannan. A few weeks back, Manivannan had come out of the jail on bail.
A few days ago, Seshi had approached the Srirampuram police and informed them about the threat by Manivannan. However, the police intervened and brokered a compromise between them and sent them back without registering a complaint.

Several cases are pending against Manivannan at Cottonpet, Srirampuram and neighbouring police stations.
