Allow medical college staff to speak, HC tells govt

“Let the government reconsider its decision.They should mull over it. If necessary, issue notices to the selection committees of the colleges and conduct an inquiry, but give them an opportunity to speak,”  said Justice Rammohan Reddy while hearing a petition challenging termination of services of Hassan Medical College employees. Before sending employees home, the judge suggested the government to provide them an opportunity to have a say in the matter.

Additional Advocate General K M Nataraj submitted that the hard discs of computers containing marks of those interviewed, could not be decoded. Justice Reddy, who was not satisfied with the submission directed to seek the assistance of Cyber Crime Department, if necessary.
