Man-animal conflict: Meeting on Sept 27

Talking to reporters here, he expressed his grave concern over increasing man-animal conflict in the villages.

Wild elephants and other wild animals are frequenting villages due to non-availability of food and water inside forests. This has made those villagers to live under constant fear of wild animals.

Farmers were suffering huge loss due to destruction of crops by wild animals. The opinion of senior officials of the department would be collected to put an end to this problem.
Special grants would be released from the Chief Minister’s fund for putting solar fencing to check the entry of wild animals into villages.

Rousing welcome
Earlier, the minister was given a rousing welcome by BJP leaders. The minister also visited Kannikaparameshwari temple to seek blessings from the goddess.
Taluk BJP leaders Yoganand, Gopal, Rameshkumar and others were present.
