Delhi govt no to blocking of CWG lanes 17 hrs a day

At a meeting with Chef de Missions of the participating countries, Delhi Government officials rejected the proposal for blocking the lanes from 6 AM to 11 PM saying it would create inconvenience to public at large.

They said the lanes will only be blocked for the public during the movement of Games vehicles, according to sources.Besides the Chef de Missions of the countries, the meeting was attended by representatives of Games Organising Committee, Delhi Police, DDA and Delhi Government.
