Every step is acid test for me, says Yeddyurappa

“I am struggling hard for the welfare of rural mass, dalits and oppressed classes in society”.

He was speaking after distributing annual  ‘Chunchashri’ award to selected persons and inaugurating 37th coronation day of Adichunchanagir Mutt Seer Dr Balagangadharanatha Swamiji at Srikshetra Adichunchanagiri at Nagamangala in Mandya district. The CM said despite these tests, still he was effectively discharging his duty, thanks to blessings of god.

Several persons are unable to digest his growth in politics. He always consult Dr Balagangadharanatha Swamiji as it soothes his pain.

Hailing contributions of Adichunchanagiri Mutt Seer by constructing 5,000 houses in flood-hit areas in N-K region, Yeddyurappa said the seer is a living example for social service and his  contributions to the field of health, education, environment, afforestation,  folklore and other areas.  The CM began his speech with a displeasure tone and said some persons are selfish and cannot tolerate growth of others in politics.

On this occasion, the CM presented ‘Chunchashri’ award to H C Srikantaiah, Kuranji Venkataramanagowda, A N Yallappa Reddy, D Dasappagowda, Dr Mehaboob Khan and others in recognition of their services in different fields. Later, the CM left the function abruptly.

Animal Husbandry Minister P M Narendraswamy,  Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Ramachandragowda, MLAs C S Puttaraju and Sureshgowda, former MLA L R Shivaramegowda and others were present.
