'Create awareness on Union budget'

Udupi District Sahakar Bharati Women’s Wing Head Suman Sharan stressed on the need for creating awareness on Union budget among the public so that they could have better understanding of the country’s financial matters.

She was speaking after inaugurating a programme on analysis of the union budget followed by interaction programme, organised by District Sahakari Bharati. Suman added that the layman should have the knowledge on pros and cons of the budget.

Senior Charted Accountant Padmanabha Kanchan said the present budget would reach out to 12 crore farmers, 8 crore women, 10 crore unorganised sector labourers and 3 crore small tax payers.

Sahakar Bharati Commissioner Sadashiva Shetty urged the members not to involve themselves in the legal complications.
