Palestinian actor Maisa Abd Elhadi was injured while staging a protest against the forceful expulsion of several Palestinian families from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah, Jerusalem.

Reportedly, Maisa was shot by Israeli forces in Haifa on Sunday, May 9.

Maisa Abd Elhadi, known for her role in Baghdad Central, took to Instagram and expressed her gratitude to well-wishers who helped her. She added that she was “alright, but I was injured on my leg”.

This picture of an injured Maisa in the back of an ambulance went viral on social media.

Maisa participated in a protest against the forceful expulsion of several Palestinian families from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah, Jerusalem.
