<p>Five tourists from Bengaluru, who were on a trip, were assaulted by coracle owners near the Wesley Bridge at Shivanasamudra (Shimsha), on Sunday night.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The injured people, who are from the Garden City locality in Bengaluru, have been identified as Mohammed Nadeem, 18, Parveentaj, 39, Shoaib, 43, Saif, 24 and Riyan, 22.</p>.<p class="bodytext">According to police, the tourists had an argument with the coracle owners who demanded extra money to take them for a ride. In a fit of rage, the coracle operators attacked them with lethal weapons. The injured were provided treatment at the government hospital.</p>
