Rahul Gandhi to campaign in Gonikoppa

All India Congress Committee President Rahul Gandhi will take part in an election campaign in Gonikoppa on April 27.

Addressing reporters here on Tuesday, Congress district unit president Mukkatira Shivu Madappa said that
Rahul Gandhi will land at Kaveri College Ground in Gonikoppa at 2.30 pm.

He will pay tributes to the statues of Kaveri, Field Marshal K M Cariappa and General Thimayya. He will later proceed to the Government Primary school ground and will address the party workers, Madappa said.

He said that the confusion regarding the selection of candidates has been cleared. The party high command has spoken to the aspirants and has put an end to apprehensions in this regard, he stated.

A booth-evel workers’ meeting has been held to inspect the preparations of Rahul Gandhi’s programme.

Around 10,000 to 12,000 people will take part in the programme, he added.

KPCC vice president Mittu Changappa, Ponnampet zonal Congress president Titira Dharmaja and party’s backward castes committee district president Korakuttira Sara Changappa were present in the press meet.
