Rs 9.50 cr worth Nalwad has 7 vehicles

Congress candidate from Hubballi-Dharwad Central constituency Mahesh Nalwad has assets worth Rs 9.50 crore, and he has Rs 2.98 crore liabilities too.

In the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission along with his nomination papers, Mahesh has informed that his annual income shown in income tax returns of 2016-17 was Rs 20.07 lakh. Value of his movable assets is Rs 3.61 crore, while his immovable assets are worth Rs 5.89 crore.

Medical practitioner Mahesh owns three cars, two bikes, one scooter, and a tractor with trailer. He has around 43 acres of agricultural land at Harogeri and Koliwad.

He also owns sites, commercial buildings, and residential buildings. He has taken Rs 21.92 lakh loan from his wife Sugandha Nalwad, who is the administrator of Nalwad Hospital, according to the affidavit.

Former bank employee Chandrashekhar Gokak, who is the BJP candidate for Hubballi-Dharwad East constituency, has assets worth Rs 26.49 lakh, and he has Rs 21.28 lakh liabilities also. He has only Rs 100 in his bank account. He is also facing a case.

Former MLA Veerabhadrappa Halaharavi, who has filed his nomination as an independent candidate, has assets worth Rs 1.14 crore, and he has Rs 42.45 lakh liabilities.
