JOIN USA KSRTC bus driver has been suspended for making a monkey sit on the steering of the bus in Davangere recently.
Driver M Prakash, 36, while driving the bus between Davangere-Anaji-Bharamasagar made the monkey to sit on the steering and handle it on October 1.
A few passengers who videographed the act uploaded the video on social media which went viral.
An officer said that there was inquiry over the driver's act. Considering safety of passengers and driver's attitude of taking the risk, action was taken against him.
A teacher who travels regularly on the route brings a monkey with him daily. On the day when the incident occurred, the monkey jumped and sat on the steering. As his efforts to make the monkey jump off the steering failed, he made it sit on the steering.
The officer said that there are no cases of reckless driving against him and he is known for safe driving.
