The university has been recognised for its outstanding contributions to social development, as evaluated through the prestigious global ranking system that assesses institutions based on their progress towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).</p><p>KIIT-DU achieved the No.1 rank in India in three critical SDGs:</p><ul><li><p>Reducing Inequality (SDG-10)</p></li><li><p>Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG-16)</p></li><li><p>Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG-7)</p></li></ul> <p>In addition, KIIT secured the third spot in India for Quality Education (SDG-4), underlining its robust commitment to accessible and inclusive education.</p><p>In the overall national tally, KIIT-DU ranked 5th among Indian universities, while on a global scale, it was placed in the 101 cohort out of over 2,400 universities from 130 countries that participated in this year’s evaluation.</p><p>The continuous upward trend in KIIT’s performance in these rankings showcases its long-standing dedication to social impact and educational excellence.</p><p>Dr Achyuta Samanta, the Founder of KIIT and KISS, expressed pride in the university’s achievements:</p><p>"Although KIIT has a very humbled beginning but it has niched his space in globally in all accreditations and rankings, it has now achieved a status comparable to the finest universities globally.
