If the Aam Aadmi Party does not win a majority in Goa, the party may form a post-poll alliance with a non-BJP political outfit, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday. Kejriwal also said that if AAP comes to power in the coastal state, its government policies would provide families with a Rs 10 lakh benefit over five years.

"If Goa gives a mandate which makes coalition post election necessary, then we can think of forming a coalition with a non BJP party. Only if there is a mandate like this. I hope the need for this will not arise," Kejriwal told a press conference in Panaji. Kejriwal is on a two-day visit to the poll-bound state, where elections are scheduled to be held on February 14.

The Delhi Chief Minister also said that former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar's son Utpal, who has been sidelined by the BJP, was free to join the AAP if he wishes.

"I respect Manohar Parrikar. His son is welcome to join us if he is willing," Kejriwal said. Utpal Parrikar, a member of the BJP's state executive committee, has sought a BJP ticket to contest from his father's traditional constituency of Panaji, but the BJP has been non committal to his overtures.

Kejriwal also cautioned voters against accepting petty bribes from political rivals, adding that if the AAP comes to power, its government's policies would benefit Goan families to the tune of Rs 10 lakh over five years.

"Each family will benefit by Rs 10 lakh over five years How? Through free power and subsidised water bills, unemployment allowance, allowance for women, free health treatment, free education in government schools. The entire cost is two lakh per annum per family. Over five years it comes to Rs 10 lakh," the Delhi Chief Minister said.

"When they (rival parties) come to give you money, remember, if you vote for AAP you will benefit by Rs 10 lakh. What is more beneficial? A Rs 2,000 bribe or Rs 10 lakh?," he added.
