Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Modi's ‘ek hai toh safe hai’ talks about unity, Nadda hits back at Rahul

Navi Mumbai: Hours after Rahul Gandhi’s attack on Narendra Modi and Gautam Adani, BJP President J P Nadda asserted that when the Prime Minister says ‘ek hai toh safe hai’ he means unity and wellbeing of one and all.

“Modi's ‘ek hai toh safe hai' means that if there is unity in the country, everyone is safe. We are taking everyone along,” Nadda said speaking at a rally of Maha Yuti on Monday in which Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde too was present.

“Gandhi is alone even in press conferences. Even his Maha Vikas Aghadi colleagues are not with him because he is safe only when he is alone,” Nadda, the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, said in a scathing attack.

On Gandhi displaying pocket version of the Constitution of India in his rallies and meetings, Nadda said: “Now Gandhi roams around carrying the book of Constitution….he has not read the Constitution… because Babasaheb Ambedkar has written in the Constitution that reservation cannot be given on the basis of religion.”

“MahaYuti is a rising sun which will give light to Maharashtra whereas Maha Vikas Aghadi is going to push Maharashtra into darkness. Maha Yuti is committed to the development of Maharashtra, whereas Maha Vikas Aghadi will increase your troubles further,” said Nadda.

"Balasaheb Thackeray had said that I will disband my party but will never compromise with Congress. Today Uddhav Thackeray has gone to the lap of Congress for power. The people of Maharashtra will never forgive you for the way you have compromised with the Congress by putting aside your father's ideas for power,” said Nadda in an attack on the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief.

“Under Modi, MahaYuti and NDA have created a new culture, a new definition of politics.Today our government is doing such politics that 'whatever was said, has been done and what was not said, has also been done,” he said.
