The film, not a sequel, boasts of technical finesse, is emotionally hyper, and seeks to debunk the generally accepted mindset “once a criminal, always a criminal.”<br /><br />Trying to bring about change in the attitude of people towards the impoverished lot living on streets, Kishan, touches upon the issue of juvenile offenders. Kishan, while giving a thriller feel to his social treatise to woo common audience, could have done a lot better with deftness as also crisp editing and subtleness.<br /><br />The film revolves around Krishna, Viji and Dingri street scums. Taking offence to Inspector Karthik’s misbehaviour with lover Geetha, Krishna and his friends vow to eliminate the man. <br /><br />However, they end up killing the wrong man. While public prosecutor seeks stiff punishment, defence lawyer Meera, however, reasons otherwise.<br /><br />Throwing light on how society is responsible and how the apathy of the public, media, judiciary and police have made criminals of these people, the film makes a clarion call to look at juvenile offenders humanely.<br /><br />Fast paced, the film, spotlighting on how the milieu is what makes them and despite trying to reform in face of adversities, society at large is impediment, Care of Footpath 2 leaves audiences rethink attitudes.
