Eros Now on Thursday released the trailer of actor Rana Daggubati's upcoming Hindi movie Haathi Mere Saathi much to the delight of movie buffs. The video features the Baahubali antagonist in a new avatar that is likely to create a great deal of buzz among fans. The movie apparently revolves around the importance of saving forests while highlighting the hero's bond with elephants.

Judging by the trailer, Haathi Mere Saathi has a rich look and feel, which might help it click with the audience. It also features a terrific sound design, an asset for a movie that revolves around nature.

The biggie has been directed by noted Tamil filmmaker Prabhu Solomon and marks his Bollywood debut. The cast includes Pulkit Samrat, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain. Haathi Mere Saathi has been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil as Aranya and Kaadan with Vishnu Vishal stepping into Pulkit's shoes.

The magnum opus was expected to hit the screens last year but that did not happen due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It will be released on March 26.

Rana made his Bollywood debut with Dum Maaro Dum, impressing fans with his work. He became a pan-India star when he locked horns with Prabhas in the Telugu film Baahubali, which did well in most markets. Ghazi too received rave reviews and made an impact at the box office. He also essayed a key role in Housefull 4. It remains to be seen whether Haathi Mere Saathi helps him consolidate his standing in the industry.

He also has the Telugu movie Virata Parvam, co-starring Sai Pallavi, in his kitty. The film may have a hard-hitting storyline with political undertones. He will be seen alongside Pawan Kalyan in the Tollywood adaptation of the Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The biggie is likely to be quite different from the Power Star's previous movies as it won't feature songs.
