Gauri Spratt on meeting Aamir Khan's family: Felt very welcome

The two are in a live-in relationship.

Aamir Khan turns 60 today and at the media meet and greet yesterday, the Bollywood star introduced his partner Gauri Spratt.

Based out of Bengaluru, and currently working for Khan's banner, Spratt has been dating the veteran actor for over a year now, and the two live together.

Khan also shared that he has introduced Gauri to his family and they have taken very kindly to her, as have his children.

Gauri was also asked how she felt when she was introduced to the Bollywood star's family.

She replied that she felt "very welcomed" with "open arms" and everybody was very warm to her.

Khan also spoke about how Spratt was relatively unfazed by his 'star' factor, attributing it to the fact that she does not watch as many movies. However, Gauri had seen Lagaan and Dangal before meeting the actor.

He has also introduced his partner to Salman and Shah Rukh when they visited his place.

Spratt has a six-year-old son of her own, and she met Aamir through the latter's cousin, who she is friends with.

Aamir said that the two had known each other for 25 years, but reconnected upon meeting, exchanged numbers, and hit it off.

While Khan said Gauri was yet to get used to the 'Bollywood madness', she told the press that Aamir was a 'romantic' man who did something special for her each day.

On the work front, Aamir's movie Sitaare Zameen Par is slated to release -- which the actor has touted as a contextual sequel to the critically acclaimed, commercial success Taare Zameen Par -- which also marked Aamir's directorial debut.
