Housekeeper's son never knew Schwarzenegger was his father

The former housekeeper kept the 13-year-old boy in the dark even though Arnold showered him with gifts and put a down payment on his family's home, a source close to Baena's family said.

Neighbors say he even referred to Baena's current boyfriend as father, reported New York Post.

"He had no idea" about the truth, the source said.

Baena's secrecy over paternity ran so deep, her own sister didn't even know until this week. Her family is reportedly upset for not having warned them about the recent revelations beforehand.

"The family is not happy with Patty right now because she never told us or warned us and now we have to deal with all this attention," the source said.

Most relatives presume the boy now knows the truth, but they are not sure what Baena has told the boy about his parentage since this week's stunning news broke.

Baena didn't list Schwarzenegger as the father on the child's birth certificate, instead putting the name of her husband at the time. But when Baena filed for divorce, she contradicted the birth certificate by saying her husband was not the father.

Schwarzenegger admitted to having fathered a love child with his former housekeeper more than a decade ago. The confession led to his wife of 25 years Maria Shriver walking out of their marriage.
