There is virtually a pile of bodies in Murder2 — all cut into neat pieces by its “crafted” killer. <br /><br />The sequel is many shades darker than Murder, but minus the mystery. Here, the villain gets into his butcher business much early and gets caught 15 minutes into the movie. The victims are all prostitutes, trying to make a fast buck during Goa’s Christmas season.<br /><br />The case of the missing ladies brings Emraan Hashmi (by now, the official ‘liplocker’ of the Bhatts) into the scene. <br /><br />An ex-cop, Hashmi springs into action after a sudden conscience prick towards the interval. <br />But by then, Prashant Narayanan establishes himself as the neurotic psychopath and a master performer (to whom the movie belongs). <br /><br />He breezes through the complex role, humming bheege honth tere as he chops his prey with the choicest of weapons. <br /><br />Coming to the women, Jacqueline is no Mallika. Though Ms Fernandez spends more time undressing than acting, she clearly lacks the oomph of the original Murder girl. Murder2 has its moments. And most of them belong to its villain.</p>
