Suriya 45: Suriya & RJ Balaji launch mega entertainer with pooja ceremony

The much-anticipated project of actor and director RJ Balaji with Suriya officially began with a pooja on November 27. Organised at Arulmigu Maasani Amman Temple in Anaimalai, the pooja saw the cast and crew in attendance. With actor Suriya, director RJ Balaji, DOP GK Vishnu, and producers SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu present, the mahurat pooja of Suriya 45 was both grand and intimate.

The makers shared a few pictures on social media, giving fans and followers a sneak peek.

RJ Balaji, known for directing Mookuthi Amman (2020) and Veetla Vishesham (2022), has collaborated with Suriya for the first time in his third directorial venture. The cinematography will be done by award-winning cinematographer G K Vishnu, who has previously showcased his magic in movies like Mersal, Bigil, Jawan and others.

Following the formal pooja, RJ Balaji will kick off the first schedule in Coimbatore, filming key scenes with Suriya and the other lead actors.

Dream Warrior Pictures, the producers behind mega entertainers, are known for their blockbusters like Aruvi, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Kaithi, Sulthan, Oke Oka Jeevitham, and others. The Oscar and Grammy award-winning composer A R Rahman has been roped to compose the music for this project, tentatively titled Suriya 45.
