Tamil TV actor Sai Prasanth commits suicide

Tamil TV actor Sai Prasanth allegedly committed suicide here, police said. He was 30.

Sai Prasanth, a VJ-turned-actor, was suspected to have consumed alcohol laced with poison on Sunday, they said, adding it was not clear why he took the extreme step.

In a letter he purportedly wrote to his wife, Prasanth said he was "the reason" for taking the extreme step.

He had featured in some serials and films.
