Fugitive Koraga Shetty's 'associate' held

A man suspected to be an associate of fugitive Vishwanath Koraga Shetty was arrested by CCB police.

The arrested is identified as 47-year-old Hemanth Kumar alias Hemu of Hoige Bazar in the city.

They have seized a pistol, four live bullets, two talwar, a base ball stick, a knife, two cell phones among others from his possession.

Kumar was the prime accused in the murder of one Anish Shetty in Hoige Bazaar in 2014.

Two attempted to murder cases were also registered against Kumar in Mangaluru South police station.

The CCB police later handed over Kumar’s case to Mangaluru South police for detailed investigation.
