<p>Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha today highlighted the need for IAF's operational preparedness with optimal utilisation of available resources.<br /><br /></p>.<p>He asked the Indian Air Force personnel to keep abreast with the latest technologies and focus on the associated challenges while the IAF marches ahead towards major upgradation of capabilities and infrastructure.<br /><br />Raha was speaking after inaugurating the annual commanders conference of all Air Force units under South Western Air Command (SWAC) here.<br /><br />Commanders of the IAF units under SWAC in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra are attending the meet, said a statement from the Defence Public Relation Officer (PRO).<br /><br />The conclave is a forum for the station Commanders to exchange views on operations, maintenance and administrative matters requiring deliberation with senior officers at command headquarters.<br /><br />The Chief of Air Staff earlier inspected a Guard of Honour presented to him at SWAC headquarters here.<br /><br />In his inaugural address, Raha acknowledged the high degree of professionalism and hard work displayed by air warriors in achieving the assigned goals and highlighted the need for operational preparedness with optimal utilisation of available resources, the statement said.<br /><br />The IAF chief urged personnel of the air arm of the defence forces to exhibit immaculate discipline and unflinching integrity.</p>
