“My kidneys have been affected. I have just returned from hospital because the party chief ordered me. I want to give more time to my wife and my family. Therefore, after the last day of polling (on May 13), I will retire from politics,” Singh said, addressing a rally at Rampur.
Amar who has been accused of being close to the ‘nachaniyas’ (dancers), said that it was his good luck that beautiful people liked him.
“It is my luck that all beautiful people like me... the almighty has bestowed this gift upon me... if some one is jealous of it what can I do,” Amar Singh said.
Bollywood connections
Singh also referred to his connections in the Bollywood and said that he had good relations with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt.
Azam Khan had on several occasions said that Singh was not a “political personality” and that he always liked to be in the company of ‘dancers’.
Film actress Dimple Kapadia was also present at the rally and sought votes for the SP nominee Jaya Prada.
