<p>Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nation in celebrating International Yoga Day from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, where he performed yoga on the beachfront alongside Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.</p><p>Expressing concern over the growing stress, unrest, and instability in various parts of the world, Modi emphasised that yoga offers a pathway to peace during such turbulent times. He also specially appreciated the efforts of Nara Lokesh, stating that he has demonstrated how yoga can be a true social celebration and how every section of society can be included.</p><p>Noting that more than two crore people have joined the Yogandhra Abhiyan, reflecting a vibrant spirit of public participation, the Prime Minister emphasised that this very spirit forms the bedrock of a Viksit Bharat.</p><p>Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu commended the people’s overwhelming response, highlighting how 22,122 tribal students recently set a Guinness World Record for mass Surya Namaskar. </p><p>"From villages to cities, yoga has become a true people’s movement in Andhra Pradesh," Naidu observed, noting participation across all 26 districts.</p><p>Naidu acknowledged the 1.44 lakh yoga trainers whose efforts enabled the campaign’s remarkable reach, including special programmes at over 100 tourist sites and certifications for 1.7 crore participants.</p><p>"You have made your power known to the world. The Yogandhra campaign has set a new trend that others will follow," he said.</p><p>Looking ahead, the Chief Minister advocated for yoga’s inclusion in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and Olympics. He called for citizens to dedicate one hour daily to yoga, especially urging youth to adopt it for enhanced concentration and creativity in the digital era.</p><p>A notable highlight was the use of a QR code-based participant tracking system, which had yielded highly accurate attendance data, setting a new benchmark for public events.</p>
