<p>The NGO has documented and analysed the economic aspects of the Games, and has come out with a report which says that Delhi residents not only have to pay more for items like milk and vegetables but they also have to spend more on accommodation and transport. <br />The NGO is associated with the study and development of urban poor which includes studies related to the environmental and other hazards faced by them. <br /><br />The NGO report says that the games had already caused an increase of up to 50 per cent in the prices of vegetables and nearly 18 per cent in the prices of milk and eggs. According to the report, the commodity prices will witness further increases; in service sector, transport expenses are going to witness 25 per cent increase. <br /><br />However, the student community has been caught unaware and they are going to pay for none of their fault. Almost 2,000 students of Delhi University were evicted from their hostels and are now facing the threat of increased hostel charges, as authorities are asserting that they would be forced to increase the charges by up to Rs 2,000 per month if the University Grants Commission does not give financial support to maintain the renovated hostels. <br />The NGO has warned that more games are to be played after the CWG; the Centre has finalised a plan to offer the stadia, built and renovated with the public money, to the private companies on a 10-year agreement. The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, National Stadium, will all invite bidding. <br /></p>
