<p>A Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) team headed by its southern regional director Sarath Sreenivas quizzed four passengers and the crew members at Kochi airport on Sunday in connection with the “hijack” drama.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Though the DGCA had summoned six passengers for interrogation, only four turned up. <br />The passengers were mainly asked about the intensity of their protest aboard the aircraft over the delay in flying back to Kochi, the scheduled destination of the flight from Abu Dhabi. <br />The passengers, Ashraf, Manoj, Thomas and Augustine said, though they had been asked to present their statement at 9 am, the team arrived at 11:30 am.<br /><br />Notice issued <br /><br />The police team investigating the pilot’s complaint that six passengers made an attempt to hijack the aircraft issued a notice to Air India to present the crew members on duty for interrogation. <br /><br />An Air India Express Abu Dhabi-Kochi flight was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram on Friday due to bad weather over Kochi airport. <br /><br />On landing in Thiruvananthapuram, the woman pilot announced that her duty hours had expired and expressed her inability to fly them back to Kochi. <br /><br /> <br /><br /><br /></p>
