<p>Mirwaiz has been arrested and detained in a police station for the first time since 2008, when he joined the separatist agitation against the leasing out of 8,000 kanals of government land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. Though the state government usually avoids putting him behind the bars, Mirwaiz had been held under house arrest in times of trouble.</p>
