<p>Kerala Governor P Sathasivam cast his vote in the Assembly election on Monday, in a first for governors in the state, DHNS reports from Thiruvananthapuram. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The governor cast his vote, along with his wife Saraswathi, at the Jawahar Nagar LP school in the Assembly constituency of Vattiyoorkavu in Thiruvananthapuram.<br /><br />“My request is…all the eligible Keralites should vote. As the first citizen, I’m requesting all to come and vote, so I have to do it. Today, I did it,” Sathasivam told reporters at the polling station. The Governor enrolled as a voter in the constituency earlier this month; <br />Thiruvananthapuram District Collector Biju Prabhakar had visited the Raj Bhavan to hand over the voters’ slips to the Governor and his wife.<br /><br />Vattiyoorkavu is witnessing a 3-cornered fight among sitting MLA of the Congress K Muraleedharan, CPM’s T N Seema and BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan.</p>
