Kamal not to announce political plunge on birthday

Amidst intense speculation that actor Kamal Haasan would unveil his political programme on his birthday next month, he clarified that he has no such plans.

"Political party cannot be announced on media's nudging", Haasan tweeted on Thursday, putting an end to media reports that he would announce his political plunge on his birthday.

The actor had written in a magazine article that he will make an important announcement on his birthday of November 7, leading to speculations.

Haasan also said the programme for the day will be the same as in previous years, which would involve meeting with the fans.

 "As usual, public announcement will be made only in people's forum", he added.
