<p>The state government will take a call on whether it can reduce the cess on petroleum products to provide relief to consumers from rising fuel prices, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said on Monday.</p>.<p>"I will discuss with Finance Department officials on how the state can provide relief from rising fuel prices," Kumaraswamy told reporters in New Delhi.</p>.<p>Kumaraswamy was reacting to a question on whether the state government will reduce the cess as demanded by the BJP.</p>.<p>He also said that state cess on petroleum products in Karnataka was the lowest compared to other states.</p>.<p>He said he also shared the concern of the public over rising prices of fuel.</p>
