100th house by M'lore diocese for poor ready

On the occasion of post-centenary silver jubilee, the Diocese of Mangalore had planned to build 161 houses for the poor. 

The 100th house, constructed for Helen D’Souza and her family, was inaugurated at Ranipura.

Bishop Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza blessed the house. Construction work of another 37 houses is underway.

Besides this, 28 more houses will be built at Mariashram church, Talapady  for the landless needy families.

The laying of foundation stone for these houses will take place August 15, informed a release.
