Acting on a tip off, the police raided a house and arrested Vishwanatha, Honnayya, Ramesha, Damodhara Kulal, Balakrishna Moolya, Manjappa Naik, Ramesh Poojary, Narayana Poojary, Abdul Khadar, Janardhana and Seetha.
Man drowns
A person drowned when he accidentally fell into a pond near Athoor school at Ramakunja village in Puttur. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Aswan.
