<p>Vijayapura: BJP Raitha Morcha state president A S Patil Nadahalli said on Sunday that the tur farmers in the district are staring at a devastating crop loss due to substandard seeds supplied by the private companies while the deputy commissioner and joint director-Agriculture were busy protecting the interests of the seed companies.</p>.<p>“More than 15,000 farmers will lodge a complaint with Lokayukta against the DC and the joint director from December 10 seeking action against the officers over their inaction,” Nadahalli told reporters here. </p>.Notices to Latur farmers issued over individual's petition, not by us: Maharashtra Waqf Board chief. <p>He added that criminal cases will be registered against the officer in question for shielding the private seed companies which distributed poor quality seeds resulting in a massive crop loss.</p>.<p>The Vijayapura district administration is as good as dead. This government is delaying the crop loss survey to avoid giving compensation to farmers, Nadahalli complained.</p>
