<p>Bengaluru: As the Supreme Court has made it mandatory to submit occupancy certificates for providing either electricity or water connections, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has requested the public to make use of its website to submit the applications.</p>.<p>The civic body issued a press note after learning that Bescom has received about 66,400 applications for electricity connections. The BBMP plans to send an SMS or call property owners who have applied for the Bescom connection by collecting the data from the electricity board.</p>.<p>The application for the occupancy certificate, the BBMP said, will be processed online and the empanelled architect or the engineer can apply by providing ‘A’ or ‘B’ khata details, building plan approval document, etc. </p>
