<p>Mangaluru: As many as 64 <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/primary-health-centre">primary health centres</a> (PHCs) including 17 Namma Clinics will receive ECG machines. Credit goes to the efforts of Cardiology at Doorsteps Foundation Trust (CAD) in association with the Department of Health and Family Welfare and Zilla Panchayat. </p><p>The CAD Foundation Trust led by Dr Padmanabha Kamath has been giving ECG machines to PHCs, Jan Aushadhi centres, Community health centres, taluk hospitals, Gram Panchayats in various parts of Karnataka since 2018. The 64 ECG machines are sponsored by MRPL under its Arogya Samrakshan CSR initiative.</p><p>DHO Dr Thimmaiah H R said the initiative will benefit urban PHCs, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub-centre (AAM SC). "Focus is given to rural areas. It will help in saving the lives of several patients. Zilla Panchayat official Dr Anandh K, MRPL GGM (HR) Krishna Hegde M, CAD Foundation Trust President Dr Padmanabh Kamath, and others will be the guest of honour.</p><p>The 17 Namma Clinics are at Boloor, Kodikal, Urwa, Kunjathbail, Meenakaliya, Pacchanady, Suterpete, Gantalkatte, Kerebail, Guttagadu, Lingappayyanakadu, Malavuru in Mangaluru, Kondana in Bantwal, Kodimbala and Ukkuda in Puttur, Duggaladka and Bannur in Sullia taluks. Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub-centre at Konaje- Natekal will also get an ECG.</p><p>Of the 64 ECGs, Mangaluru taluk will receive 35 machines, the highest, 12 Namma clinics, 10 UPHC, 12 PHC, 1 AAM SC, Bantwal will get 10 with 1 for namma clinic, 1 UPHCS, 1 and PHC; Belthangady will get three for PHCs, Puttur will get nine with two for Namma clinics, one UPHC and six PHCs and Sullia will get seven with two for Namma Clinics and five for PHCs.</p>
