The Congress has fielded two candidates from Channapatna. Its official candidate Raghunandan Ramanna had complained that his name was missing in the voters’ list in the constituency. The party fielded another candidate, Bore Gowda, to be on the safer side.

JD(S) candidate S L Nagaraj has also filed nomination papers. The party State President H D Kumaraswamy accompanied him.

Similarly, the Congress and the JD(S) candidates in Jagalur and Bangarpet filed their nomination papers on Wednesday. The BJP candidates for all three constituencies have already filed their papers. The scrutiny of nomination papers will be taken up on March 24.

The last date for withdrawing nominations is March 26.
