In the backdrop of rumours about the presence of a body in Bagimale Reserve Forest area at Bilinele village in Subramanya, the Anti Naxal Force personnel carried out a search operation on Thursday.
There were rumours that during the Anti-Naxal Force-Maoist confrontation on September 4, Maoist Yellappa was dead.
Based on the information given by a villager to Kadaba police station, the police took up the search operation.
