Independent MLA Nagesh said he would consider joining the BJP, if the saffron party leaders invite him to their fold. Nagesh said he was waiting for the BJP leaders to contact him.

Speaking to reporters in Mulbagal of Kolar district on Tuesday, Nagesh said he supported the Congress-JD(S) combine as he had been promised a ministerial post. But the promise had not been kept, he regretted.

On the other hand, Sringeri (Chikkamagaluru district) MLA T D Rajegowda said that he would not fall prey to 'Operation Kamala,' even if the BJP offered him the chief minister's post.

Speaking to mediapersons in Sringeri, he said, "The BJP is luring the MLAs, promising power and money. A few BJP leaders are in touch with me. They have asked me to desert the party through my friends. I will not quit the Congress at any cost," he clarified.
