<p>Bengaluru: A 26-year-old techie died after being run over by a BMTC bus on ITPL Road in Brookefield, East Bengaluru, on Friday evening, the police said.</p>.<p>The victim, identified as Rohith R Patil, was a resident of Bommanahalli. The accident occurred around 6.30 pm near the Airports Authority of India (AAI) compound wall.</p>.<p>The police said Patil was on his way to his office in Brookefield when his motorcycle skidded. An optical fibre cable lying on the road became entangled in the wheel, causing him to lose balance and fall. Tragically, a BMTC bus ran over him as he fell on to the road.</p>.Bengaluru cops rescue cab driver who suffered from heart attack.<p>“He was wearing a helmet, but he succumbed to severe blood loss and died on the spot,” a police officer told <em>DH</em>. “The bus was not speeding, but the peak-hour traffic made it difficult for the driver to stop in time,” he added.</p>.<p>The HAL traffic police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.</p>
