However, the same problems have resurfaced.</p>.<p>"Fencing has not been provided, which is enabling the public free access on the lake bund for dumping garbage. Solid waste was dumped at a few points in and around the lake. Very less quantity of water was stored in the lake,” the report stated. It also noted that the outlet waste weir had been removed.</p>.<p>Following this, the KSPCB issued a showcause notice to the gram panchayat and the AEE. The AEE responded that a plan has been submitted to develop the lake, with a corporate firm expected to fund Rs 3.12 crore for works, including a sewage treatment plant.</p>.<p>On June 25, the NGT southern zone bench directed the KSPCB and district administration to file a status report. The bench had earlier expressed dissatisfaction over repeated delays in report submission.</p>
