Last Updated 30 August 2009, 18:49 IST

IDP Education is organising a one-day programme on admissions to Australian universities for the academic year, 2009. Representatives of Australian universities will share campus tour videos and student testimonials, in addition to enabling the alumni in some cities to talk to students and parents. Personalised advice about choice of courses and career pathways will be given to students.

Representative will consider academic qualifications, work experience, study and career goals and budget constraints.

‘Proper channel’

Harmeet Pental, Regional Director-South Asia, IDP Education India said that the admission event will emphasise the fact that applying through proper channel promotes
consistency in admission processes.

Pental said that Australia has an immigration policy which allows students with specific qualifications and experience to seek work opportunities in the country, on completion of studies and thereby gain international exposure.

The IDP Australia Education Admissions Programme 2009 will be held on Wednesday at Taj Residency, from 10 am to 5 in the evening.
