Bar on issue of job code

In the wake of model of code of conduct, the BBMP has prohibited approval or issuance of job code for new projects.

According to a press release issued by the Palike, tender process for a project — already set in motion — can be completed but work orders will not be issued. Besides, transfer of project implementation to the Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Corporation (KRIDL) will not be allowed and also employees will have no promotions or transfer. However, projects related to drinking water supply, solid waste management, disaster management and security service will be taken up.
