<p>Bengaluru: With about 15 days left for the financial year to end, the <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/bbmp">BBMP</a> collected Rs 4,604 crore as property tax or 88 per cent of the targeted Rs 5,210 crore till March 14, 2025.</p><p>According to BBMP data, Yelahanka has fared the best, collecting 99.97% or Rs 445.15 crore out of the targeted Rs 455.24 crore. West Zone stood second collecting 93.55 per cent or Rs 517.07 crore of the targeted Rs 610.39 crore, followed by Mahadevapura which collected 93.45 per cent or Rs 1223.3 crore out of the targeted Rs 1309.04 crore.</p><p>Munish Moudgil, Special Commissioner (Revenue), meanwhile, instructed zonal officers to pay more attention to collecting property tax in BBMP.</p><p>Addressing a virtual meeting on Saturday regarding various issues in BBMP limits, he asked the zonal officers to take necessary action to collect the outstanding property tax before the 2024–25 financial year ends.</p><p>He asked officials to visit institutions and commercial properties with huge property tax dues and collect the arrears. He said they should take appropriate measures to collect the property tax to reach the target set by the BBMP by the end of the month.</p>.BBMP budget: What are citizens’ concerns?.<p>According to BBMP data, about 2.25 lakh final e-Khatas have been issued since October 2024 when the system was launched.</p><p>Officials said that young/local entrepreneurs should register through the BBMP's website and provide e-Khata services to citizens.</p><p>They said the entrepreneurs can collect Rs 45 per e-khata for final e-Khata data entry and acknowledgement print out (black and white). No fee is payable to the BBMP.</p><p>For scanning the documents/ID proof and uploading them in the BBMP application, the entrepreneurs can collect Rs 45 per page. </p><p>The entrepreneurs can collect Rs 45 per final e-Khata print, while a fee of Rs 125 has to be paid online to the BBMP.</p>
